OnlyFelins is a free, all-ages website that turns everyday cat photos into glamour portraits, and uses the fun to send attention and money to animal shelters.
The idea
Every cat owner knows their cat is a star. OnlyFelins plays that joke all the way: our Creatures have profiles, fans, “exclusive” posts and red-carpet looks, in the style of a celebrity creator site. The twist is that nothing here is adult, nothing is for sale and nobody is behind a paywall. The “locked” post opens with a tap, the subscription costs nothing and the most exclusive content is a ginger cat in a velvet cape.
What you can do here
- Browse the Creatures. Each one has a profile, a glamour shot and the original photo it came from, so you can see the before and the after. Their names and biographies are invented for fun; the cats in the photos are real.
- Glam up your own cat. Upload a photo, pick one of six looks (Red Carpet, Perfume Ad, Renaissance Oil and more) and get a glamour portrait back in about a minute. It is free, up to 5 portraits a day.
- Share it. Every portrait can get its own page and a square card made for social networks, so your friends can see the before and after and make their own.
- Read our guides. Practical articles on photographing your cat, the first weeks with a shelter cat and reading cat body language.
Why shelters
Shelters are full of cats who would steal the show if anyone saw them. OnlyFelins gives shelters free glamour portraits of their adoptable cats, with a link to adopt them on the shelter’s own page. Each month one shelter is in the spotlight and receives 50% of our net ad revenue. Donations always go 100% to shelters: you give on the shelter’s own page and we never touch the money.
How the portraits are made
Your photo is checked automatically first: there must be a cat in it, no person, and nothing unsuitable for children. Only then does an image model restyle it in the look you chose. The result is a playful portrait, not a photograph of something that happened, and we say so wherever it is shown. Our House rules explain what we accept and how to report a problem.
Who we are
