OnlyFelins is the most exclusive cat site on the internet, and the most wholesome. These rules say what you can post, what we refuse, how we check and what happens when something goes wrong. They apply to every photo you glam up, every link you share and every message you send us. The Terms and Privacy pages cover the rest.
1. Cats, and only cats
- A real cat, or several, is the star of the photo and clearly visible: kittens, seniors, house cats, street cats, any breed or none.
- Not here: dogs, other pets, soft toys, drawings or screenshots of cats, and photos where the cat is a tiny detail in a bigger scene.
- Every photo goes through an automatic check before the stylist touches it. A photo without a clearly visible cat is refused.
2. No people, not even a little
- No faces, hands, feet, arms, reflections or silhouettes, even in a corner or in the background.
- This protects you and the people around you: a glammed-up photo can be shared far beyond your friends.
- The automatic check refuses photos with any part of a person in them. Crop first if a hand slipped in.
3. All ages, always
OnlyFelins is a parody of a famous adult site, and the joke works only because nothing here is adult.
- Nothing sexual or suggestive, in photos, cat names, captions, messages or links, including innuendo about the cat or about the people who own one.
- Nothing violent, cruel, frightening or gross: no injuries, no fights, no weapons, no drugs, alcohol or smoking.
- No hate, insults or jokes aimed at a group of people.
- The glamour is velvet, spotlights and a good blow-dry. If a parent would hesitate to show it to a ten-year-old, it does not belong here.
4. Kind to the cat behind the photo
We celebrate cats, so the photo shoot has to be good for the cat too.
- No costumes, props or poses that hold the cat down, cover its face, stop it moving or breathing freely, or frighten it. The stylist adds the outfit for you: there is no need to dress your cat up.
- No photos of a cat in distress, sick or hurt to get a reaction, and no flash in a cat’s face.
- No sales, adoption ads or breeding offers. To help a cat find a home, point people to a shelter.
- If you are worried about an animal’s welfare, contact a local shelter or the animal welfare service where you live: they can act, we cannot.
5. Every cat is a star
Street cats and pedigrees, young and old, round and lean, missing an ear or an eye: we celebrate them all. No mocking a cat’s looks, health, age or breed, and no mocking the people who love them.
6. Your photo, your rights, your neighbours’ privacy
- Upload only photos you took yourself, or that the photo’s owner allowed you to use. Not a photo found online, not a famous cat’s photo, not another creator’s work.
- Ask before glamming up someone else’s cat. It is their cat, and their sofa.
- Keep private details out of the shot: house numbers, street signs, number plates, letters, screens, documents and anything else that tells strangers where you live.
7. Glamour shots are made by an AI
The glammed-up picture is made by an image model from your photo. It is a playful portrait, not a photograph of something that happened.
- Do not present a glamour shot as a real photo to mislead anyone, for example to raise money, sell something or make a false claim about a cat or a shelter.
- Do not use a glamour shot to pretend to be OnlyFelins, a shelter or another person.
8. Sharing fairly
- A share link is yours to post wherever you like, as long as that place allows it. No spam: do not post it in bulk, under posts that have nothing to do with it, or in messages to strangers.
- Do not try to get around the daily limit of free glam-ups, the automatic check or the share system, for example with scripts, many devices or edited requests.
- Do not use OnlyFelins to advertise, collect money or send people to other sites, and do not suggest that a fundraiser is linked to us when it is not.
9. Age
Everyone can look around and glam up a cat. Accounts are for people aged 13 or over.
How we check
- Before anything is made: every photo is checked automatically for a visible cat, no person and nothing unsuitable. A photo that fails is refused: no glamour shot, nothing published, and we do not keep it.
- After: anything public (share pages today, more as the site grows) can be reported by anyone, and we look at every report ourselves.
- The automatic check makes mistakes both ways. If it refused a photo that follows these rules, try another shot; if it let through one that breaks them, report it.
Something wrong?
Spotted something that breaks these rules, or a page about you or your cat that should not be there? Tell us through our contact form, with the page link, and pick “Report a page or photo”.
What happens when a rule is broken
- The content comes down. We remove the share page, the result or anything else that breaks a rule, without warning when it is serious (people in the photo, adult content, cruelty, private details).
- Repeated or deliberate breaches, attempts to get around the checks or the limits, and abuse of our team can lead us to block the device, the account or the network they come from.
- Content that may be illegal is reported to the competent authorities.
- You can ask us to look again. If you think we got it wrong, write through the same form with the link and why. We look at it again and answer if you left an e-mail address.
Changes
These rules will grow with OnlyFelins (votes, contests and albums will bring their own). The date at the top says when they last changed.
